Writer Cormac McCarthy dies

The American writer, winner of the Pulitzer Prize, died on Tuesday, 13th June at the age of 89 in Santa Fe (New Mexico), of natural causes.

McCarthy, winner of the Pulitzer Prize for fiction in 2007 with the novel 'The Road', had already won the National Book Award with 'All The Pretty Horses'. The writer's notable works include 'The Gardener's Son', 'Suttree', 'Blood Meridian, or the Evening Redness in the West', 'No Country for Old Men', made into a movie by the Coen brothers and winner of 4 Oscars, 'The Passenger' and 'Stella Maris'.
